To all you lovely guys and gals who after all these years still take the time to send your best wishes and fondest regards, and, I have to say, it does make me feel good. I often wish that I could get back up on stage and sing all those famous songs again but being honest, it was the right time for me to retire at the end of 2022 while headlining the "Sensational Sixties Tour". One of the main reasons for making this decision was that I’d become tone deaf and had to rely on a hearing aid which although being the best and most expensive I could find, wasn’t the answer as the lovely Miss Doyle (my dear wife) pointed out that some of my vocals were slightly off key. There were concerns as well that I wasn’t getting any younger and sometimes the schedule when touring would be too much for me and so at the final performance “Nottingham Concert Hall” I brought my wife Mae on stage and said goodnight and goodbye to that brilliantly warm audience.

The Searchers was my favorite 60s band! I grew up to their music and was influenced by their music to be in a garage band. Needless & Pins is my favorite track.

Mike pender was and is the real Searcher for me, and the most handsome…yeah!

FINALLY, FINALLY got a copy of your autobiography which I'm enjoying immensely! I was 12 years old when I bought that first Kapp album in 1964 and bought the next three as they were released including the Star Club album. In the early 1970s, I found the first five British LPs in a record shop which was like finding a treasure here in the states. Anyway, lifelong fan and just wanted to say thank you for the music. so much enjoyment and great memories!

I wonder if the searchers remember a memorable night at a newly opened club called "Chez Laurie" a neglected 1930s Art Deco roadhouse just outside Herne Bay in Kent. This would have been in the late 1970's. The Searchers admitted to the packed hall that they had nearly turned around when they saw the old building! Instead we all sweated together that night as they shook the place. A lot of us were standing on the tables to rock the night away. At the end of the show we were told that they'd exhausted all they knew but asked us if we would like to hear the set all over again. You can guess the response. It was a long memorable night. Thank you.

I had many searchers records now its mp3s .i was a window cleaner and i met Frank Allen and the drummer at that time they were in digs by the 5 lamps the guy who owned the place was employed by the savoy.any way he crashed a bottle of whisky it was a great day.I seen you at an AA convention as the entertainment also 60s with Dave Berry Wayne Fontana glasgow .one more thing did your dad drink in the BANJO bootle

When I lived in London in the early 90s, my sister and I used to come to as many concerts as possible. We had the pleasure of getting to know yourself, Barrie and Chris and your roadies Mike and Callum.They were good times. Good to see you are well.
